Grace’s Wedding
and Celebration Ministry
Grace Church offers its facilities,
and its clergy when available, for Episcopal weddings,
interfaith weddings, non-denominational weddings,
commitment ceremonies and civic ceremonies. We are
convenient to downtown hotels, museums, other banqueting
facilities, and transportation hubs.

| Our unique circular
loft sanctuary makes for an intimate
wedding experience for up to 150 persons.
You may bring your own music or musician,
or use the parish’s musical
resources if you wish. Our
parish hall / banquet hall can hold 150
persons for a stand-up reception, or 100
persons for a sit-down reception/dinner.

| We comply with the
Americans with Disabilities Act and are
handicapped accessible. We
are also AIR-CONDITIONED in the summer
months!
You are welcome to bring
your own clergy persons, or justices of
the peace, if you wish.

We do not require that either the
bride or the groom be members of this parish.
If Grace Church’s clergy are
used for a marraige service, some requirements must be met, to
include:
- Either the bride or the
groom must be a Christian
- The couple must receive six
to eight hours of pre-marital /
pre-commitment counseling before the
ceremony date. This can be done in
several ways (e.g. with Grace’s
clergy, with other clergy who would agree
to do this counseling, with a
psychological counselor or therapist,
with a pre-marriage group experience of
some kind, etc).
- If one of the parties is an
Episcopalian, and has been previously
married, the Rector may apply to the
Bishop of Chicago for permission to
perform this marriage ceremony .
